Michael, a seasoned civil litigator with a broad-based defense practice spanning a wide spectrum of liability matters, is admitted in both Connecticut and New York and has litigated extensively in both states throughout his career. He has vast experience defending clients in cases ranging from routine premises liability and motor vehicle accident claims to catastrophic personal injury cases and complex, high-stakes professional liability matters. He is committed to developing a clear plan-of-action from the outset to bring a matter to the most efficient resolution consistent with the client’s interests. “The purpose of opening a file is to close a file” is his litigation mantra.
Michael has represented a diverse array of professionals – including attorneys, law firms, insurance agents and brokers, and architects – in claims involving allegations of negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, and other liability exposures. His practice includes the defense of general liability and product liability matters, as well as wrongful death and toxic tort litigation, including claims involving exposure to asbestos and other toxic substances. Michael is also well-versed in defending claims brought under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”) as well as other consumer statutory claims.
Michael graduated Suffolk University Law School magna cum laude and was an editor of the Journal of Health & Biolmedical Law. He also gained valuable early legal experience as an intern at Suffolk County Juvenile Court in Boston.
